About Our Opportunity

The Enterprise Data Architect defines and coordinates the strategic and tactical implementations for the movement, enhancement, integration, quality and availability of data throughout the organization. Lead the design effort for data structures that include relational and dimensional data frameworks. Support production/regulatory reporting and analytics while adhering to established best practices.

 

How You Will Spend Your Time

  • Research, build and implement enterprise data management strategies, guiding principles, governance documentation, along with processes and standards pertaining to data modeling, database design and architecture, data governance and data quality, data security, metadata management, data integration and data warehousing, reference and master data management.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and develop detailed requirements from high-level information.
  • Work to establish agreed data acquisition strategies, service level agreements and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintain a structure for business information, understand current/emerging technologies, and align with business priorities.
  • Lead the design of data integration processes.
  • Recommend products; participate in the acquisition, evaluation, testing, establish standards and provide guidance for the use of those products.    
  • Manage projects including sourcing, mapping, transforming and loading data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Ensure the Data Warehouse is robust, with minimal downtime.
  • Acts as liaison between business units.
  • Design and direct the implementation of security requirements for the data warehouse.

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics or related field, and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience building, deploying, and supporting Enterprise Data Warehouse capabilities.  Good project management skills, oral and written communication skills, and analytical skills necessary.

  • Use a computer and similar office technology and tools.  This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
  • Speak and make presentations to individuals or groups on technical subjects related to job.
  • Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
  • Successfully interact with and represent the organization to customers, staff, officers, board members, vendors, and/or the public at all levels.
  • Provide sound technical advice to customers and other staff in the subject field(s) related to this position.
  • Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting concepts, programs, terminology, and methods.
  • Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide, and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs, and/or other related work activities.
