About Our Opportunity

On an individual rotation basis or part of a team effort, produces and maintains the Association’s Pricing Models used in pricing decisions; provides financial analyses to the ALCO related to financial performance; analyzes and presents data to support appropriate assumptions to be used in Pricing Models; manages yield analysis and decision support process for Association investments.  This position is expected to identify and resolve a wide variety of financial issues by coordinating with other departments, vendors, and AgriBank Treasury to develop appropriate solutions.  Organizes and prioritizes work to meet processing deadlines.  This position is also responsible for training other staff (Louisville and retail offices) and supporting/participating in Association Business Plan project teams and initiatives.  

How You Will Spend Your Time

Portfolio Analysis and Reporting: Produce and maintain Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) reporting package presented to senior management, meeting regular timetables and deadlines. Gather and maintain financial market data including historical interest rates and key economic indicators. Perform reporting and analysis for pricing standards and fees including standard reports and ad hoc reports. Analyze results, perform what-if analysis and propose strategies to the ALCO to support Association objectives. 

Data Analysis and Business Insights:  Performs, with responsiveness and timeliness, various and in-depth financial analyses and modeling, and related verbal or written analyses, to support management, leaders, Board and the ALCO.  Summarizes vast amount of data into meaningful and comprehensive reports, charts, and graphs utilizing various business intelligence tools in conjunction with the Association data warehouse to assist management and leaders in the decision-making process. Examines large data sets to identify patterns, anomalies, relationships and trends. Prepares portfolio analysis and reporting regarding rates and fees for peer benchmarking.

Pricing Administration: Administers pricing tables and Association rates within loan accounting system and various internal systems and reports. Produces and maintains financial models used in Association investment, loan, and lease pricing decisions. Develops detailed documentation of processes and procedures related to model construction and maintenance. Interact with management and various lines of business as needed to gather information and prepare model assumptions. 

Pricing Decision Support: Maintain daily loan pricing for internal distribution. Liaison between Association lending staff and AgriBank regarding wholesale and retail pricing/fees concerns and issues – including escalation of issues as needed. Review of loan level pricing details to determine causes of pricing exceptions or potential system disconnects. Proactively identify issues and facilitate necessary pricing corrections to mitigate potential financial losses or inaccurate reporting. Trains staff and leaders in the use of financial modeling tools and in the financial characteristics of new and existing products. 

Leader Support: Serves as primary Finance team contact for lending sales leaders and Louisville office support leaders, providing support and training as needed related to products and pricing, operations, accounting operations and financial reporting. Actively participates and represents financial operations on cross functional teams. 

Investment Reporting: Prepares reports summarizing financial position and performance of the investment portfolio, including interest rate shocks, reported to the Board and the ALCO, and included in the Call Report, Mission Related Investments (MRI) report and shareholder reports.

External Audit:  Provides support to Louisville office audits conducted by external auditor Price Waterhouse-Coopers (PwC) and the Farm Credit Administration (FCA) as needed. 

Collaboration:  Represent the Finance Team on applicable Association committees, workgroups or project teams. Coordinate with other Farm Credit System (FCS) institutions and FCS workgroups as applicable.

SOX:  Provides support for Financial Operations as needed for Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Written Procedures:  Create and maintain written procedures of processes.



Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, plus three or more years progressively responsible and related experience. Strong Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word skills.   Graduate degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business or related field and professional certification (ex. CPA, CFA, CTP or CMA) desirable. Experience in financial services industry preferred.
