About Our Opportunity

Our Senior Loan Servicing Analyst will provide loan accounting services to Farm Credit Mid-America offices by analyzing requests, reconciling loan related accounts, providing phone support to branch offices, creating accounting system entries using the appropriate procedures and accounting principles and ensuring the work is accurate.  This position is expected to resolve a wide variety of loan accounting problems and to identify accounting system problems or issues and refers to the director for resolution.  Organizes and prioritizes work to meet processing deadlines. This position is also responsible for training other staff (central and field office) and monitoring their work quality, track basic work quality progress of other accountants for the director and assists in the completion and dissemination of accounting requests between accountants. 

How You Will Spend Your Time

  • Provide quality service and support to Farm Credit Mid-America staff, customers, AgriBank staff, and outside vendors by answering questions, researching problems, reviewing receivable reports, making corrections for accuracy of billing statements, and providing solutions from multiple sources including email, multi-line phone queue, and internal software systems.
  • Provide support to project teams by being the subject matter expert (SME) for Loan Servicing.
  • Representing loan servicing on cross-functional teams.Participating actively in and/or facilitates team meetings to support the Director and identify issues for discussion and training.
  • Reviewing loan servicing procedures and association manuals and recommends revisions.
  • Review, research, process, and respond to moderate to complex written and phone inquiries from customers, title companies, vendors, and internal staff pertaining to loans and various areas within loan servicing
  • Research and resolve issues utilizing various resources and process documentation.
  • Provide support regarding issuance, limit changes, cancellation and fraudulent transactions for customer disbursement card program.

Minimum Education & Experience

Associate’s Degree or equivalent classroom hours plus six years of experience in loan servicing, accounting, banking or financially related customer support while using a variety of business software, demonstrating proficiency in Excel including two to three years of  FCMA experience desired or

Bachelor’s Degree plus three to four years of experience in loan servicing, accounting, banking or financially related customer support using a variety of business software, demonstrating proficiency in Excel; three years of  FCMA experience desired.

Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Engage in telephone and face-to-face conversation to serve customers and give and receive information from staff, vendors, outside consultants and the public.
  • Use a computer and similar office technology and tools.  This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
  • Speak and make presentations to individuals or groups on technical subjects related to job.
  • Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
  • Successfully interact with and represent the organization to staff, officers, board members, customers, vendors, and/or the public at all levels.
  • Provide sound technical advice to leaders and other staff in the subject field(s) related to this position.
  • Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting concepts, programs, terminology, and methods.
  • Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide, and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs, and/or other related work activities.
