About Our Opportunity

Our Syndication Specialist is an opportunity for an individual to join our team in Loan operations. Ideal candidates should have an understanding of syndicated loans business and will help build and handle the syndicated loan products, processes and services. Our Syndication Specialist partner with internal & external team members and coordinates communications to constituents.

How You Will Spend Your Time

As a Syndication Specialist on our team, you will be:

  • Drafting, delivering and receiving participation certificates and related sale documents. 
  • Preparing reports, including but not limited to allocation and fee spreadsheets and patronage tracking. 
  • Utilizing SyndTrak to post new offerings and monitoring for receipt of post-close interim financials, compliance certificates and borrowing base information for the benefit of the bank group. 
  • Coordinating lender meetings and distribution of materials, including the preparation of a Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) and Lender Presentation. 
  • Establishing, developing, and managing strong partner relationships by consistently providing quality service and fielding deal-specific questions in a timely and thorough manner. 
  • Coordinating internal and external communications to assure loan closing requirements are met, required documentation is properly executed and returned, and applicable filings are completed. 
  • Receiving and processing Administrative Details Form (ADF) from bank partners. 
  • Successfully managing highly demanding timelines and competing priorities. 
  • Coordinating the preparation of initial funding notices and invoicing of other fees. 
  • Providing continuous improvement feedback to Food and Agribusiness leaders. 
  • Participating in, and supportsing the implementation of projects as assigned, while applying project management skills to support initiatives.  
  • Validating transaction booking for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures to help achieve outstanding credit administration results. 

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field and at least one year of relevant experience, preferred. Relevant and equivalent job experience to include a minimum 4 years of successful experience in commercial lending and/or portfolio management, financially related customer service or sales, loan document review or loan closing, loan processing or loan servicing may be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree. At least three years progressively responsible and related experience in participation and/or syndication loan processing is preferred. Knowledge of agricultural industry is desired (personal, professional, or educational).

  • Use a computer and similar office technology and tools. This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information. 
  • Speak and make presentations to individuals or groups on technical subjects related to job. 
  • Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job. 
  • Successfully interact with and represent the organization to customers, staff, officers, board members, vendors, and/or the public at all levels. 
  • Provide sound technical advice to customers and other staff in the subject field(s) related to this position. 
  • Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting concepts, programs, terminology, and methods. 
  • Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide, and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs, and/or other related work activities.
